    Frequently Asked Questions

Does my Henderson HOA need to approve a new shower enclosure?

No. Henderson's master-planned communities do run architectural review, and Green Valley, Anthem, Seven Hills and Inspirada all have active associations, but those committees govern the exterior of your home: paint, roofing, landscaping, anything visible from the street. A shower enclosure is interior work and falls outside architectural review entirely. You do not need to submit anything or wait for approval before booking a measure. The only situation where it becomes relevant is a condominium or attached townhome, where structural or plumbing alterations can require notice, and a glass enclosure alone is neither of those.

Is it worth replacing an original Green Valley shower door?

Usually, once more than one thing has gone wrong. Green Valley has been developing since the late 1970s, so a great many of its original enclosures are now thirty or forty years old, and they fail in a predictable cluster: the aluminium frame corrodes where it has been standing in water, the bottom track pits and stops draining, the rollers wear, and the seals go hard. Fixing one of those is cheap. Fixing all four approaches the cost of a new enclosure and leaves you with an old door. We give you the honest comparison at the quote.

Do you fit larger enclosures for newer Henderson master bathrooms?

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do in Inspirada, Cadence and the newer parts of Anthem. Bathrooms built from the mid-2000s onward tend to have taller ceilings and wider openings than the 1990s housing further west, which changes the specification rather than just the price. Panels reaching toward nine or ten feet want half-inch glass instead of three-eighths, because the extra rigidity keeps a tall door from feeling springy and keeps seals in contact along their full length. Heavier glass also needs sound framing behind the tile, which we verify before quoting it.
