Frequently Asked Questions
How long does installation take?
Plan on 14 to 20 days from the in-home measure to the finished enclosure, with the installation appointment itself taking two to four hours. The wait is fabrication, and it is not padding. We laser-measure your opening rather than assuming it is square, because tract-built Las Vegas bathrooms very often are not, and the glass is then cut to the walls you actually have. Once tempered, a panel cannot be trimmed by even a fraction of an inch, so every dimension has to be right before it goes into the oven. Cutting, polishing every exposed edge, drilling the hinge and handle holes and heat-treating the panel is roughly a ten to fourteen day sequence in the shop. If your timeline is tight, tell us at the measure and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
What's included in the warranty?
Our installation work carries a workmanship warranty, premium hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty, and the tempered glass is covered by its manufacturer against defects in the material. In practice those cover different things and it is worth knowing which is which. Workmanship covers how the enclosure was fitted: alignment, sealing, and anything that turns out to be a consequence of how we installed it. Hardware covers hinges, handles and rollers failing in normal use. Glass coverage is for defects present in the panel, not for impact damage, since tempered glass that has been struck on an edge is not a defective panel. Consumable parts such as the clear vinyl door sweep are wear items and are inexpensive to replace. The full current terms are set out on our warranty page.
Do you serve my area?
We install across the Las Vegas valley from our shop on West Reno Avenue, which covers Las Vegas itself, Henderson, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor and Winchester, together with the master-planned communities inside them: Summerlin and The Ridges, Rhodes Ranch, Southern Highlands, Mountains Edge, Spanish Trail, and Green Valley, Anthem and Inspirada on the Henderson side. Every one of those has its own page on this site with the neighbourhoods it covers. Because we fabricate locally rather than ordering enclosures in, being close to the work genuinely matters: it is what makes a same-week measure appointment and a two to four hour installation realistic. If you are just outside those areas, call 702.899.0456 and ask rather than assuming, because it often depends on the specific job.
What affects the final price?
Four things, in roughly this order of impact. Size comes first, since we price from fifty dollars per square foot and a large corner enclosure simply contains more glass than an alcove door. Glass thickness comes next: 3/8 inch is standard, while 1/2 inch costs more per square foot and needs heavier hardware to carry it. Configuration is third, because a single door in a straight opening is a much simpler fabrication than a neo-angle enclosure or a steam surround with a transom. Hardware finish is last and smallest, though specialty finishes such as champagne bronze or satin brass carry a premium over stocked chrome and brushed nickel. Low-iron glass, which removes the green tint you see in the edge of ordinary glass, is a separate upgrade. The measure produces a firm number rather than a range.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are licensed and insured, and we can provide documentation on request before any work begins. It is a fair question to ask any contractor working in your home, and it matters particularly in glass work for two reasons. The first is simply the weight and the edges involved: a half-inch tempered panel is heavy, and moving one through a finished house is where damage happens if it is done carelessly. The second is that shower glazing is governed by real safety standards rather than preference. Glass in a bathing area has to be safety glazing under CPSC 16 CFR 1201 and ANSI Z97.1, which in practice means fully tempered. We fabricate and install to those requirements as a matter of course, and we will tell you when a proposed detail does not meet them.
